Warren Burris

	Warren Burris, age 81, of Swanwick, passed away Tuesday evening, August 20, 2002 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville.
	Warren was born December 5, 1920 in Marissa, the son of William John and Carrie (Zander) Burris.  He was united in marriage to Mildred L. Mic Jackson in Perryville, Mo. February 7, 1942 and she survives.  Warren was a farmer and had previously served as Administrative Aid to the Sheriff of Perry County.  He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Coulterville, formerly a member of the Pinckneyville Masonic Lodge, Shriners, Easter Star and a lifelong resident of Swanwick.  Warren enjoyed square dancing, polka dancing, hunting and fishing and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
	Warren is survived by his wife, Mic Burris of Swanwick; a daughter, Janet Horner and her husband Alan of Coulterville; one sister, Vera Gordon and husband Eugene  of Sparta; two grandchildren, Rodney Horner and wife Kelly and Dustin Horner and three great-grandchildren, Wesley, Jeremy and Jesse Horner.  Warren was preceded in death by his parents; one young son, Stephen; two sons in infancy, Rody and Robert; five brothers, Eugene, Raymond, James, Bart and Billie and two sisters, Louise and Maude.
	Funeral services were Friday morning, August 23 at the United Methodist Church in Coulterville at 10 a.m. with Pastor Mary Arnold officiating.  Interment was in the Bethel Cemetery in Swanwick.
	Friends called at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Coulterville on Thursday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. and again on Friday morning from 8 until 9 a.m. then at the church until services.
